My name is Martina and I am proud to be one of the first Green Teen Team members!
I am a strong believer that everyone should be the change they want to see in the world, for this reason, I decided to join GTT. Being part of this association, not only made me more aware of how our planet is damaged by humans but it also inspired me to take action and even with small actions, contribute to make our world a better place. Also, in late 2019 I also opened an Instagram page called @planet.activist to raise awareness and inspire other young teenagers like me to pick up the plastic we see on our beaches or start recycling, creating a project called #onetrashperday.
Working with GTT, definitely made me a much more responsible person towards the environment, who tries to understand which choices are best in order to preserve our biodiversity, from using glass bottles or eliminating cotton buds. Having travelled to other countries, I’ve realised that many of them try their best in order to conserve biodiversity, but unfortunately not all!
Wolverdans in Namibia, a resort I have visited, is the perfect example of a community that wants to build an auto sustainable environment by creating walls with plastic bottles, a vegetable and a space in which visitors can plant trees. Other cities, like Rome in Italy, instead have still a lot to improve on, from removing cigarette butts or trash from the streets.
Hoping that with everyone’s small contribution, our planet will become better than it is today, act before it is too late!
