About Green Teen Team

Our Story
The Green Teen Team (GTT) was founded in 2014 by H.S.H. Princess Theodora von Liechtenstein who is an active participant in the running of the charity’s projects.
Our planet’s environment is changing before our eyes and even in our short lifetimes we have been witness to monumental alterations to its ecosystems. Only a century ago people would not believe that the changes in climate we bear witness to, even possible. All kinds of harmful things have led to our planet reacting negatively, from changes in weather patterns and ocean currents, to the rise of carbon dioxide in air and the consequent rise in sea level.
Our Mission
These changes in the atmosphere affect the way the biosphere functions and the lives of many creatures and plants are threatened by such changes. Therefore the objective of GTT is to empower young people to be able to make changes to their lives, the lives of others and the life of the planet.
GTT’s aims and objectives go towards helping regenerate the planet’s biodiversity through engaging young people in conservation projects, educational workshops and summer camps across the globe.

What we do
At GTT we believe that each and every one of us can make changes in our lives to help save the planet’s biodiversity.
Conservation
Through hands-on projects GTT is building an active and global community of environmentally engaged teenagers, in a bid to create positive change at grassroots level.
Education
GTT creates educational programmes to connect local schools with local conservation organisations and researchers. Helping support local projects and engage young people in conservation across the globe.
Community
Our network connects teenagers around the world so they can learn about a diverse range of cultures and different efforts to conserve biodiversity.
Action
Through our hands-on initiatives we empower children, teenagers and adults of all ages to take action and ultimately make a difference to our collective futures.
What our volunteers say
“I had lots of fun, met new people but most of all I learned all about different animals and our planet.”
Sam Smith
“It is a time for us to bond over the thing we have in common, nature”.
Daisy McQuire
“It was a really cool experience as it was the first time I went to a camp without my family.”
Helen Askew
