One More Generation

We supported One More Generation’s OneLessStraw campaign — founded by two young siblings — pledging to cut single-use plastic straws and protect our oceans.

GTT was very happy to help One More Generation (OMG) with their OneLessStraw campaign — and if there was ever an organisation made for the GTT community, it is this one. One More Generation was founded by two young siblings, Olivia and Carter Ries, who decided they wanted endangered species to still be around for at least one more generation. They started young, they started small, and they built something with global reach.

The OneLessStraw pledge campaign strived to educate the public about the dangers of single-use plastic straws and their effects on our health, our environment and our oceans. The idea is brilliantly simple: a plastic straw is used for a few minutes, but it can stick around polluting the planet for centuries. Pledging to give up just one straw at a time turns a huge, overwhelming problem into a choice anyone can make today.

It is exactly the kind of campaign GTT loves — youth-led, practical and proof that small everyday actions add up to real change. When millions of people each skip one straw, the ocean notices.
