GTT Workshops

Seasonal, hands-on workshops since 2014 — planting seeds in spring, litter picking in summer, and caring for animals through autumn and winter.

Since 2014 — and even through the challenging times of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic — GTT has consistently organised workshops in many locations, involving as many GTT members and friends as possible. We feel incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated group of founding members who have wholeheartedly committed to attending as many workshops as they can, and we are sincerely grateful for their unwavering support.

Our workshops are designed to follow the seasons, so what we learn always matches what nature needs at that time of year. In spring, we focus on the art of seed planting and nurturing the growth of sustainable ideas. In summer, we turn to activities such as litter picking, building cleaner environments and sharper awareness. And as autumn and winter arrive, we move into animal care, promoting compassion and responsible stewardship through the colder months.

A group of people, including children and adults, gather around a wooden table outdoors, working with plastic bottles and small potted plants.

Alongside the seasonal programme, GTT created Sustainable Tech Competitions to foster innovation and give members a stage for their creative solutions, and we collaborated with national and international campaigns to build meaningful ties and increase our collective impact.

When the lockdowns arrived, we adapted quickly. Zoom meetings became our meeting place, keeping everyone connected and the journey moving. We even devised our own fundraising twist: members counted their steps and contributed based on how many they could rack up — proving you can raise money for nature one footstep at a time.

GTT’s workshops have never been just lessons. They are platforms for education and exploration, and catalysts for positive change towards a more sustainable future.
